Stirling
Council Agents Forum - 25 June 2008
Following a recent meeting between the Chapter
and Stirling Council Planning, the Local Authority
have announced that they are going to reconvene
their Agents Forum meetings. The initial
meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 25 June 2008
at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers, Old Viewforth
Stirling. A light buffet will be served
at 6:00pm with the meeting starting at 6:30pm
and finishing around 8:30pm. Peter Morgan
has asked if delegates could confirm attendance
to him by 13th June ( morganp@stirling.gov.uk)
in order that the catering can be arranged as
may be appropriate.
It is proposed that the meeting will cover
the changes proposed to the Planning system in
Scotland and will also cover the following agenda
topics:
- Planning Act 2006 and Draft Regulations
- E-Planning
- Proposed changes on Redundant Rural Buildings
Policy
- Customer Survey 2008
- Planning Performance and Service issues
I am sure that the majority of Chapter members
will be interested in the above, particularly
given the suggested agenda topics and in
light of comments passed to me by members prior
to our meeting with the Planning Service last
year. I hope that members will make
the most of this opportunity for open discussion
on a number of matters with the Planning Service.

This year's AGM was held in Bo'ness Town Hall
Library on 9th April. Minutes from the meeting
will be posted on the website in the near future.

Chapter
75th Anniversary
The Stirling Society of Architects are celebrating
their 75th birthday this year. In order to mark
this occasion, the idea of organizing an event,
perhaps a dinner or other similar 'shindig' has
been considered.
To help with the setting up of such an event the
Society would appreciate the help of a few volunteers.
Anyone able to assist should contact the Chapter
